ImpulsegamerJohn WernerMar 20204.8/5I definitely recommend this game for anyone who wants something that is story driven but wants something to play casually without having to commit to a 1000-hour saga.

Just Push StartDec 20194.8/5While the story at times felt a bit trite, and the enemies can feel a bit repetitive, this game is fun to play. While it will only take players around twelve to thirteen hours to complete the first playthrough, between the Apocalyptic difficulty setting, Arena mode, and metroidvania type puzzles, players will find themselves sinking dozens of hours into the game well after completing their first playthrough.

God is a GeekMick FraserDec 20199/10From the gorgeous visuals to the smooth, frenetic combat and environments that beg to be explored, the quality on display here is incredibly impressive. Despite a smattering of minor issues and a few iffy design choices, Darksiders Genesis is still a fantastic videogame, and might even be the best Darksiders game to date.

Push SquareFeb 20206/10What may have been a solid experience a few years back feels too stale in 2020. Darksiders Genesis is completely competent in its own right, but it doesn't do enough to differentiate itself from previous iterations despite a change in perspective. Combat is a highlight and the Creature Core system provides some depth, however, they're about the only two features we can muster any enthusiasm for.
