D Fun Pak got under my skin. The comedy lands again and again. This one is going to stay with me.
No thanks is the real thing. Plot is beside the point; the inner life is everything. It does not bother with a big world and does not need one.
J.R.R. Tolkien at the top of their game with The war of the jewels. The sheer scope of it is breathtaking. Go in knowing as little as you can.
Mostly about the craft, the story.
Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel does a lot right here. It asks a lot and gives back more. The structure is strange and it keeps paying off. I would happily listen to it again.
Mostly about the craft, the story, comfort.
I finished Star Maker and just sat there for a while. The sheer scope of it is breathtaking. Believe the hype on this one.
Mostly about the story.
David Markson at the top of their game with Wittgenstein's Mistress. It lives inside its characters' heads, and that is where it shines. Go in knowing as little as you can.
Mostly about the performances, the craft, the story.
Films, series, books, albums, games. Skip anything you haven't met.
Which one are you? The test above will tell you.
Yuki Sato and Priya Raman are 94% compatible.
Taste twins find each other here. Yours are out there too.
A taste fingerprint: fourteen dimensions, read against every other Bud. Yours appears after a handful of ratings.
Forrest Gump1994Epic, effortless, nostalgic and meticulous.
Not a genre label: how it moves, how it feels, what it asks of you. Every film, series, book, album and game is read on the same fourteen scales, each in its own terms (a record's tempo and sound, a game's challenge and world), and your profile is matched against them.
A procedural that turns into a sermon and somehow gets better for it. That box.
Mostly about the story, comfort.
