Profane is a 3D boss rush Bullet Hell based on time. This means that you have to face every Boss and defeat them before your time runs out! Time is money and health, so acquiring abilities or being damaged will reduce your remaining combat time.

WayTooManyGamesAaron PriceMar 20208/10Profane is definitely a great game to play. It’s hard and you’ll get mad, but each boss is oh so satisfying to take down. Even the first time taking down the first phase of a boss feels good. So what are you waiting for? Jump in and git gud.

SelectButtonKevin MitchellMay 20207/10Profane is a devastatingly frantic boss rush bullet-hell twin-stick experience that looks and plays nice on the Nintendo Switch. While you lose the Twitch and Mixer integration that the PC release has, it still includes the rogue-lite challenge mode, leaderboards, and daily challenges to keep you returning for additional runs. The timer-based currency and health system are unique, but some may have a hard time getting past the opening encounter in story mode. Thankfully, the arena mode lets you select from any of the bosses and mess around with all of the abilities already unlocked.

GBAtempBen SellwoodMay 20207/10Profane is not my typical pick of a game, but it has to be said that there is a lot of fun to be had by changing it up. As a strategic bullet-hell twin-stick-shooter, this game looks great and offers a lot of bang for your buck. 10 bosses, 40 power-ups, and some tactical gameplay make this a solid title for those who adore this unforgiving genre.

Sirus GamingChristian PepitoDec 20196/10I would not recommend Profane to most of my friends who have terrible, terrible hand coordination skills, but I would recommend this to a few of them who like a challenge. I just wish they had bonus items that will increase the time limit, which will make it more convenient but still challenging to play.
