Nintendo LifeMorgan SleeperApr 20179/10Stunningly stylish and with an irresistibly kinetic sense of motion, Kamiko is a true gem. It's a quick ride, to be sure, but gorgeous pixel-art visuals, a lush soundtrack and three very different characters with plenty of speedrunning potential make it well worth coming back to. A uniquely appealing, action-packed package for less than the price of a prayer plaque, this is an easy recommendation for any Switch owner.

PS4Blog.netApr 20179/10KAMIKO is a short but fun Nintendo Switch release. A single run can take as little as 30 minutes to complete, and once you're done you can do it all over again with a different character. Three complete runs will therefore take less than 2 hours, but it's a very entertaining ride while it lasts. The game is only $4.99 and its gameplay, music and graphics make it well worth the price of admission. There's also some extra secrets to find in this adventure, not to mention that the game will record your time for each character so that you can aim to speedrun the game. And perhaps something good will happen when you complete the game with all three characters…

DestructoidJed WhitakerApr 20178/10absolutely love the colorful art style that makes up the set pieces that themselves tell a story of a forgotten post-apocalyptic world, and the soundtrack is composed of retro-inspired chiptune. While the game is quite short, what is here is worth playing for the cost of entry.

Cubed3Albert LichiMay 20174/10Kamiko costs about $4.99 and can be beaten in under an hour. Visually, it is nothing impressive or interesting... There are far better looking pixel art games out there on the Switch, such as Blaster Master Zero. The core mechanics aren't broken or anything, it is completely serviceable, but it just lacks anything of interest to make Kamiko worth any time at all.

RPG SiteJosh TorresMay 20175/10A short hack n' slash that's disappointingly average at best despite glimpses of a better game underneath it.
