Geek CultureDec 20188.5/10Omensight: Definitive Edition has a great story, a great art style, and some very satisfying combat mechanics, and is very affordable. There's no reason not to get this game as soon as possible, especially as its updates make it an even better game.

Nindie SpotlightNindie SpotlightJan 20198/10On the whole while I had some concerns with a few picky issues Omensight still manages to be pretty brilliant and well worth checking out. If it were just full of slashing combat it would have been decent but the added layer of an interesting story full of fleshed out characters who aren’t just one-dimensional archetypes really seals the deal. Add in the fact that there aren’t too many titles that have explored this style of play on Switch and it’s worth having on your radar.

cublikefootClaire FerrinJun 20206/10Omensight: Definitive Edition does a good job at what it sets out to do. It’s a narrative-driven game that not only features a well-written story, but manages to tell it in a very cool way. However, there are other areas where the game suffers. For example, the combat itself feels great, but has a number of flawed mechanics to it, including a wasted “energy” mechanic.
