Rate five things you know, from any shelf. Your archetype shows up in about a minute, and gets sharper with every log.

Armed with a simple yet stylish revolver and six devastatingly plump bullets, you must reset the security mainframe to restore order and reap the rewards of a job well done. To succeed in the game, players will need to move carefully and make smart use of their bullets, items, and the environment as rushing into new areas is the fastest way to get killed in the untamed wild of the neon corridors.

CGMagazineCassidee MoserSep 20149/10It takes many cues from the classic shooters of old, cutting out the more superfluous mechanics and flourishes of today's shooters and instead focusing on brutal combat.

Gaming NexusJeff KintnerNov 20148.8/10Heavy Bullets encourages smart, slow, and steady tactics instead of jumping in and unloading in every room. It lets you be a bad ass one man army, while still keeping you struggling and hungry for more. Outside of a few ergonomic missteps, especially with the controller integration, it delivers an intense and immersive experience that rivals a lot of AAA FPS titles.

Cubed3Chris LeebodyOct 20149/10Aiming and the shooting experience is tight and enjoyable, there are mechanics built into the background that alleviate the stress. The sound and graphics can't be faulted for the genre it is in, either. All in all, Heavy Bullets comes highly recommended!

Game RantDenny ConnollySep 20142.5/5 stars'Heavy Bullets' delivers a nostalgic arcade-style shooter with an engaging, unique mechanic, but is a little too repetitive for comfort.

DestructoidCaitlin CookeOct 20146/10I liked that the levels and enemies were randomly generated, but I found there was still something left to be desired. Perhaps the game could have benefited from more enemies, events, discoveries, or more unique items. The neon charm was always a pleasure to play through, but overall I felt Heavy Bullets wore thin over time. If you're a huge fan of rogue-like dungeon crawlers it's worth a shot, but not six bullets.
