Competent, loud, and forgettable within the hour. It is a product demo for a business model. That it works as one is not a point in its favour.
I saw it. It is a cartoon with a budget. I am told this is the point.
The hallway shot where the camera goes around the whole team still gives me chills. People who call this a product demo are the same people who think fun is a character flaw.
It should not work and it does, because Whedon lets them bicker like a family. The shawarma scene is the thesis.
