I like Jensen Ackles, he has a pleasantly jokery, laid back screen presence, that's genuinely endearing. Its a shame therefore, to see him in a series as beige and boring, as "Countdown". This is your typical cliched and cringey crime thriller fare, that paints the US and its legal organisations, as "the good guys". Its cardboard cut out, black and white stuff, that's wholly unsophisticated and shallow. Perhaps US audiences of a certain demographic, might enjoy this? I certainly doubt its appeal will reach beyond the borders of the US but then maybe its wasn't supposed to? In summary, decent actors in yet another cookie cutter US crime thriller that's probably made for the US domestic market. A bland, unconvincing watch, at best.
