Pure NintendoJemma CassonMar 20188/10Black Hole is a fun and challenging shooter that puts its own stamp on the genre. It's great value and, with a key feedback system, will hopefully get even better through updates. As it is, it looks great and plays well, and is definitely worth checking out.

Worth PlayingCody MedellinNov 20188/10Black Hole is absolutely fun. The concept is simple, and the upgrade system is nice, but the core shooting really drives the title. The difficulty level is balanced enough to make you feel like you're making progress, but it isn't so generous that you can easily beat the game in one sitting. It may not be on many people's lists for best shoot-'em-up on the Switch, but it certainly belongs in a tier close to that level.

Nintendo LifeDom Reseigh-LincolnFeb 20187/10Black Hole's intense shmup action feels far more suited to Nintendo Switch than its previous platforms, and the gravitational mechanic makes for a cool twist on a well-worn formula. It's a solid little shooter for one player to blast through with twin-sticks at the ready, it's just a shame there's no support for local couchplay to go along with its litany of customisable options.
