SoftpediaAndrei DumitrescuMar 20148.5/10Infested Planet is a good title that can provide many hours of intense action and solid strategic thinking, and I loved the way it focuses on the simple act of battling an ever-moving stream of aliens to create tension and a sense that every battle has clear stakes.

TwinfiniteChristopher HadlockMar 20144/5Infested Planet does a lot of things well and should be on the radar of RTS players that enjoy playing with the strategy of the game more than duking it out against others.

Rock, Paper, ShotgunGraham SmithMar 2014I think there are two reasons I play strategy games. One is for complex campaigns requiring deep thought and careful planning, whether that be in Unity of Command or Supreme Commander. The other is for the relaxing power trip provided by swirling numbers of units, as in Eufloria or Galcon Fusion. Infested Planet sits somewhere between the two, a mid-point that's more satisfying in some ways for the greater sense of accomplishment it delivers and less satisfying in others for the frustration of never quite letting you relax.

DestructoidConrad ZimmermanMar 20147/10When it comes down to it, Infested Planet is a fun spin on sci-fi real-time strategy that makes good use of tower defense mechanics in an offense-focused game. A little rough around the edges, it still manages to succeed in creating an experience that is challenging and unique every round while providing options which accommodate a wide range of skill level.
