WccftechFrancesco De MeoJul 20187.4/10Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is one of the best games based on the Cartoon Network show, thanks to the faithful representation of the series' charming world and characters. While quite derivative, with features lifted from The Legend of Zelda series in particular, the game developed by Climax Studios can be a fun experience, granted the player manages to overcome some frustration due to balancing and design issues.

GamePittRob PittJul 20188.2/10Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is the best Adventure Time tie-in game out there. It’s packed with all the humour, charm, quality, and jokes from the TV show along with the original cast as the voice talent. Sure, some moments can get a bit tedious as you’re sailing from point A to point B with no form of fast travel, but it’s all worth it for the excitement and fun you’ll have once you get there. The game is clearly aimed at fans of the TV show and I feel they will be the ones to get the most out of this game. However, even if you’ve not watched the show (like me), the game is hilarious is most parts and will entertain both small and big kids for hours.

PS4Blog.netJan 20197.5/10I recommend this release for the gameplay, but I really hope the next release from the team will be less buggy than this because even with the latest patch – months after the game's release – this is still the buggiest game I have played on my PlayStation 4.

DestructoidRich MeisterJul 20184/10Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion might be appealing to a younger audience that wants an RPG without too many advance systems to over-complicate things, but if you're looking for a deep role-playing game set within the land of Ooo, you'll be sorely disappointed. On top of that, all of the performance issues with the Switch version make it incredibly difficult to recommend.

GameSkinnyGreyson DitzlerJul 20184/10 starsDespite it's solid core mechanics and efforts to be faithful to its source material, Pirates of the Enchiridion is bogged down by poor pacing and various technical difficulties.
