Try Hard GuidesErik HodgesMar 202610/10Built upon the iconic and highly stylish tradition of racing anime, Screamer delivers high-octane, arcade-style racing with intuitive controls and an incredibly dramatic, colorfully cast story about a super-illegal, high-stakes super-race. Undoubtedly, my new favorite racing game of all time, I do not doubt that Screamer, like a shooting star, will fly out past the competition at high speeds and leave a long-lasting memory in the process

DualShockersUsama MehmoodMar 20268.5/10Between the unique twin-stick handling, the risk-reward chaos of the Echo System, and a story that leans hard into its over-the-top anime inspirations, it manages to carve out an identity that feels both fresh and nostalgic. It’s not perfect, but it doesn’t need to be because when everything clicks during racing, Screamer is an absolute thrill to play. For anyone craving an arcade racer with personality and depth with a riveting storyline, this is one worth taking for a spin at full throttle.

TheSixthAxisJim HargreavesApr 20266/10The team at Milestone have been crafting racing games for more than three decades now, Screamer proving that they aren't afraid of taking risks and trying something new. From its surprisingly fleshed out storylines to its advanced racing gameplay concepts, there are plenty of intriguing ideas at works here though not all them are executed well.

Niche GamerJonathan WhiteMar 20266/10It’s not always easy to line up a straight shot in order to hit someone when you’re flying around the corner faster than they are and they slide out the of the way at the last second, but if you can land the hit. It’s satisfying, but it’s a shame that we couldn’t play it online pre-release to see if it feels more rewarding against other humans instead of CPU players that know exactly how to avoid you at all times.
