Offering unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance turns the attention of the award-winning series towards a hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.

Thumb CultureJan 20255/5 starsI think that Sniper Elite Resistance is a great follow-up and keeps the momentum built by Sniper Elite 5. The sniping is just as satisfying as ever and the open levels allow for everybody to play their way. The addition of Propaganda missions adds a level of difficulty for those who aim for 100% completion. A minor gripe is the loss of the iconic Sniper Elite theme. This is of course a personal preference as a fan of the series and does not affect the gameplay whatsoever. Out with the Fairburne and in with the Hawker, Sniper Elite: Resistance adds some fresh ideas. The new protagonist accordingly allows for a perfect jumping-in point for new players with minimum mentions of previous games. I’m going to stop (Hawk)ing on at this point and award Sniper Elite: Resistance the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.

ImpulsegamerChris O'ConnorJan 20254.5/5Sniper Elite Resistance is another solid entry in the Sniper Elite series. I was thrilled to learn that it was coming out and I hope the franchise continues. We now know we aren't locked into one character, so the options for different times throughout the conflict and different experiences open up.

IGNTristan OgilvieJan 20256/10Sniper Elite: Resistance is a solid stealth-based shooter, but it fails to set its sights high enough in order to pull off a truly spectacular execution.

GameWatcherBogdan RobertJan 20255.5/10Sniper Elite: Resistance delivers the expected stealth-action combo the series is known for, wrapping it in a forgettable narrative about stopping the Nazi war machine from totally winning the war yet again. But even as it's a functional title, with levels that offer a decent amount of freedom and X-Ray kills that remain satisfying to watch, this follow-up ends up feeling like a tired, unnecessary rehash of its predecessor.
