WccftechChris WraySep 20179.5/10Total War: Warhammer II takes the fantasy setting to its next logical level. Bringing in completely unique factions, giving them all a personality of their own in the franchises most focused campaign ever has led to an incredibly compelling game. The only problem is that the old Total War issues of poor AI with diplomacy still prevails and that the economy is easy to game to your advantage. Still, altogether an outstanding release.

IGNT.J. HaferSep 20179.1/10I feel like a broken record saying this is the best Total War game so far, since I've felt that way about each major release since Attila. But it really is true: Creative Assembly's designers are honing their campaign and faction design consistently from game to game, and that progression is clearly on display in Total War Warhammer 2.

PowerUp!Ryan RivetzOct 20176/10This game is not for the time poor or impatient, but if long pitched battles and a game you can occasionally set down walk away and come back to without anything lost, this is a title for you.

PCWorldHayden DingmanSep 20173.5/5 starsTotal War: Warhammer II is a more daring take on fantasy than its predecessor, adding Lizardmen (dinosaurs) and Skaven (rat-men) to the mix—but it's not necessarily a more daring Total War game.
