VG247Dom PeppiattFeb 20255/5 starsI am already 50 hours in, and I can’t wait to double - triple, quadruple! - that number in the coming weeks and months. This one’s a classic, as far as I'm concerned.

DualShockersChristian BognarFeb 202510/10After 100 hours of gameplay and reaching Hunter Rank 110, I can confidently say that Monster Hunter Wilds is a better game than World and Rise. Largely focusing on streamlining and making the overall experience more accessible, without removing the core principles that veteran hunters have come to know and love, Monster Hunter Wilds is a game that should be experienced by everyone.

VGCJordan MiddlerFeb 20255/5 starsMonster Hunter Wilds is confident, bold, and one of the best Monster Hunter games ever, thanks to its ability to stand on the giant shoulders of Worlds and improve it in virtually every way.

Hardcore GamerZach MckayFeb 20253.5/5Monster Hunter Wilds is a fun experience and has all the staples that make the series so enjoyable. Unfortunately, some choices make it hard to enjoy yourself for a significant amount of time while making your way to the portion of the game that you’re trying to experience. The main story aims to provide players with a more immersive experience, but ends up getting in the way of the fighting monsters at a reliable pace, forcing you from point A to B frequently before allowing you to engage with these newly-added monsters.

Gaming FureverChris BrinkleyApr 20253/5Overall Monster Hunter Wilds is a game with equal positives and negatives. The environments and monsters all look absolutely beautiful, but the framerate and performance to make said areas look good can cut the impact. The big monster fights are fun and tension-filled, but it can get tiring doing the same fights over and over again and you have to get through an entire campaign just to get to the really good stuff.
