Pure NintendoRachel PoliAug 20198/10Furwind is a great platformer with puzzle-like levels and a grand adventure. With cute characters, a fun soundtrack, and pleasing graphics, this is one to give a try.

NintendoWorldReportCasey GibsonJun 20197.5/10Level design and variety are wonderful, continuing to stay fresh throughout. However in contrast, the enemy design was a let down due to a small pool of enemies. Fun boss battles and the cutest protagonist ever do help to mitigate the shortcomings resulting in a brisk and enjoyable experience.

Nintendo EnthusiastSteven RollinsJun 20196.5/10If you’re looking for a pixel-styled platformer, you can certainly do worse than Furwind. Though pretty to look at, It’s a bit generic and could do more to introduce variety throughout the game. That doesn’t mean it’s not enjoyable, though. It’s got its share of issues, but if you can overlook them for a few hours, you’ll find a reasonably good time.

oprainfallJosh SpeerJul 20192/5 starsI honestly feel that Furwind had all the elements it needed to be a great game, it just put them together in the wrong configuration. Had this been a metroidvania like I thought, one with well translated text and more diversity of challenges, it would have been fantastic. Instead, we get a throwback to games of the past that felt awkward and disappointing. While it’s pretty affordable at $9.99, and I did get about 6 hours of gameplay out of it, it’s really hard to justify buying it at full price. I respect what I think JanduSoft was trying to do here, but it missed the mark. Here’s hoping they take this constructive criticism in the spirit it’s intended and make their next game a masterpiece.
