World to the West is a pulpy, cartoony top down action adventure inspired by European adventure comics. Take control of four unique characters —Lumina the Teslamancer, Knaus the orphan, Miss Teri the mind bender and the gloriously mustachioed strongman, Lord Clonington—, each with their their own motivations, skills and interweaving storylines, as they seek to escape the dark shadow of an ancient prophecy.

God is a GeekDavid HunterMay 20178/10World to the West puts players in control of four unlikely heroes with unique skillsets and tasks them with exploring a puzzle-filled map. The world and its humourous characters are presented in a delightful art style and the soundtrack is great but the gameplay becomes repetitive in lengthier chunks.

PS4Blog.netMay 20178.5/10World to the West is a lot of fun with plenty to do and a good variety of environments and characters to keep the game feeling fresh. The game's music is nice with folk and orchestral scores, which greatly complement the experience. The nods from World to the West to old-school The Legend of Zelda entries is appreciated and it makes for a very entertaining release. Kudos to the team for giving us a great game to enjoy on PS4. I definitely look forward to seeing what their next project will be. Oh, and if you're a collecter you might want to grab one of the physical copies that are up for sale from SOEDESCO ahead of its June release!

Pure NintendoTrevor GouldJan 20186.5/10I think World to the West presents some very strong ideas, but the execution doesn't always translate to captivating gameplay. If you're on the fence, my recommendation would be adding it to your wish list for a future sale.

Marooners' RockAlex McCumbersMar 20186.4/10Teslagrad has a ton of fans and the hero has even become an icon of the indie scene, yet I don’t believe that World to the West will reach those heights, not even close.
