Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 tells the story of what happened to the voxel Earth after the events of the first installment. It cleverly introduces elements from Earth Defense Force 6 and features the Wing Diver Shooter, who didn’t make it into the previous game. This latest installment is filled with more love for the Earth Defense Force series (and Earth!) than ever before!

God is a GeekSean SmithSep 2024Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is super accessible and very easy to get into, but deceptively difficult to master.
TwinfiniteCameron WaldropSep 20234.5/5The beauty of World Brothers 2 is that I am getting the best of both worlds. It plays much like a traditional EDF title while benefiting from new ideas. World Brothers 1 tried a few things that Earth Defense Force 6 later incorporated, so I am excited to see what is carried forward this time. If you’re looking for your next third-person shooter obsession or want to find a game to play with friends, I promise World Brothers 2 won’t disappoint you.

TheSixthAxisJason ColesSep 20247/10As with the original, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is a simplified and cutesy take on the whole EDF think. While it succeeds in that goal, it loses a lot of the allure as it does so.

CGMagazineKhari TaylorSep 20247/10If you can get past the childish and highly repetitive English dialogue, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is a great option for players looking to mindlessly blast giant insects, aliens and Kaiju to bits with their friends, either online or with a local buddy.
