Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor is an anti-adventure game about picking up trash in an alien bazaar. You play as the Janitor, an Alaensee woman with a municipally-subsidized trash incineration job, and dreams of leaving the planet of Xabran’s Rock far behind her.

Hardcore GamerKyle LeClairOct 20164/5Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor is described as an “anti-adventure” game, and almost defies any sort of judgement as such, since it feels like it deviates from the norm in more than a few ways.

Cubed3OfisilOct 20165/10The world of Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor has a unique magic to it. Its alien world feels strangely familiar, and the mundane, everyday experiences of the cute, pixelated protagonist, will surely strike a chord with anyone who had suffered an even remotely similar fate. The problem? We get enough mundane in real life, and, unfortunately, this title has very little to offer besides that.

oprainfallDalton McClainApr 20183/5 starsSo my final thoughts on Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor are that the game is a great game hidden inside of a good game. There are a lot of really neat concepts here, but I felt like they weren’t really that well expanded upon as much as they could have been. The game is 10 hours long and is at a really good price of only $9.99 on Steam, but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you plan on doing a lot of tedious work for a few laughs. If you need a good game to play off and on again then I would give this a try, but if you’re looking for something to just sit and beat in a couple sittings then this really isn’t the game for you.
