The Edge of Allegoria is a nostalgic adventure for the 90's kids who grew up playing handheld, turn-based RPG's, who aren't exactly kids anymore.

A dumb fun Retro RPG with smart mechanics and a sense of humour as salty as South Park.
TheSixthAxisAran SuddiJan 20257/10The Edge of Allegoria is a decent RPG that stands out for its retro Game Boy visual style. The combat is decent enough, and while the crudeness can get a bit much, it works well in the setting. Some frustrating dungeon designs and waypointing issues, plus a story that isn't too memorable do hold it back, though.

TheGamerStacey HenleyDec 20243/5 starsThe Edge of Allegoria is a grown up Pokemon game, for better or for worse. I enjoyed my time with it, but I think the fact it was so obviously Pokemon helped that a lot. A worthwhile experiment, and good for a larf, but not a game changer. It may be the first game ever to reference the 'why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food' meme though, and that's got to be worth something.

Games FreezerBritt RobertsOct 20256/10The Edge of Allegoria is a game that captures the nostalgic Game Boy vibe with nice pixel visuals and a charming soundtrack tied to tried ‘n tested mechanics that are bolstered to a sense of humour that will probably be a little divisive, although it does give the game its roguish character.
