Mosaic is a mysterious narrative game, where you follow the repetitive and lonely life of an average commuter.... Until one day, when strange things start happening. Mosaic is about a person living a bleak and repetitive life in a cold, systematic city. Every day looks and feels the same way and you have no meaning or sense of purpose in your life — until one day, when strange things start to happen around you and everything changes.

PlayStation UniverseJoe ApseyFeb 20208.5/10Krillbite should be commended for what the achieve with Mosaic, crafting an experience that wholly commits to its themes, atmosphere, and narrative. Each moving part of the game contributes to the whole journey and creates an exceptional replication of the bleak, hostile, and depressing lifestyle that is modern capitalist-fueled city-life. It isn't a particularly enjoyable game to play, but that lack of gratification is just another part of the magnificent mosaic that is, Mosaic.

Pure NintendoDawson HeltonFeb 20208.5/10Mosaic is a wonderful title that does an impressive job of showing the downsides of modern society. While light on gameplay, there is a lot going on in the narrative through repetitive segments, dreary scenery, and a magical fish. This is a game for the person who does not know how to cope with the bland nature of the modern world.

NintendoWorldReportSteven GreenJan 20204/10Adventure titles that offer deep storytelling are some of my favorite experiences in the genre, and Mosaic had everything lined up to be truly special. Unfortunately, a little bit too much monotony, a control scheme you will be fighting throughout, and major performance issues make this a game that will have you looking for a way to alleviate your frustrations. Hopefully a patch comes to fix the performance issues in what could have been a fairly decent experience.

Hardcore GamerJordan HelmDec 20192.5/5Like a lot of middling and so-so titles in years past, the "so-close" conclusion that something greater, more impactful — or at least enjoyable — has gone horribly amiss is always far more regrettable than an otherwise rotten-to-its-core excuse for a game.
