ACGJul 2023"A huge step up graphically for Telltale. More importantly a prequel to one of the most beloved Expanse characters, episode 1 shows the Expanse still has stories to tell."

GameSpotClaire LewisAug 20239/10Telltale's latest story-driven adventure may be its best yet thanks to creative environmental storytelling and a strong narrative that pulls no punches.

GamingTrendCorvo RohwerAug 202385/100Under fire from the Europa's Bane pirates, Drummer must make the call to save her crew. This episode turns up the heat with the introduction of an antagonistic faction, while still allowing smaller moments to bond with the crew members in a way not present in the initial episode. While it feels like more of the same at times, this is a stronger episode in general from the first that gets to the action much more quickly, and has me looking forward to the next stop in this space-faring voyage across the Belt.

Metro GameCentralAdam StarkeySep 20236/10An affectionately crafted prequel to The Expanse which, while worthwhile for fans, fails to evolve Telltale's tired gameplay design in any meaningful manner.

New Game NetworkBen ThomasSep 202358/100The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a short, unexciting, and slow narrative adventure, full of unlikable characters and repetitive gameplay. Despite a great performance from Cara Gee as Drummer and a few engaging player choices, it is a waste of space.
