Hardcore GamerKevin DunsmoreSep 20265/5Does Insomniac Games deliver a stunning superhero game on par or better than Marvel's Spider-Man, or is Marvel's Wolverine best forgotten?

COGconnectedJames PaleySep 2026100/100Marvel’s Wolverine is a tight, focused experience that never lets up or slows down more than it absolutely has to. The action is intense and incredibly violent, the combat flows beautifully, steadily evolving into something wondrous to behold. I loved the acting and the dialogue; the pacing is excellent, and the world depicted is a brutal one. Like Spider-Man before it, Marvel’s Wolverine has set a new standard for this character. Playing as Logan is unlikely to get better than this for many years.

GamingBoltRashid SayedSep 202610/10Marvel's Wolverine is a brutal, focused and surprisingly heartfelt adventure with superb combat, excellent performances, spectacular set pieces and top-tier presentation. Its minor flaws do little to stop this from feeling like the definitive Wolverine game.

Giant BombShawn McDowellSep 20262.5/5 starsWolverine is a game with momentary sparks of fun, but its mostly-good combat getting constantly dragged down by mediocre storytelling, poor pacing, and an underwhelming amount of player agency left me very bored far too often.

IGNSimon CardySep 20266/10Marvel's Wolverine's slick and satisfying combat wears thin well before its conclusion, so much so that even its strong character work can't quite save it from being anything more than okay.
