ImpulsegamerJan 20224.3/5Overall Asterix and Obelix Slap them all is at its core a 90's beat 'em up and with that comes the usual trappings of the genre for better or worse. Though not as difficult as some of its fellow games in the genre the 50 levels of the game certainly make it a slog to get through. This can very much be someone's first game of the genre as it is easy and intuitive enough for players of all skill levels.

Nindie SpotlightJustin NationDec 20218.1/10While the genre struggled in the early days on the Switch, the beat-em-up has proven to be alive and well on the Switch, including some titles I'd consider genre-defining that have arrived over the last 2 years...

WayTooManyGamesLeonardo FariaDec 20218/10This is not going to make you stop playing Streets of Rage 4 or cancel your preorder for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, but damn, am I glad this exists. Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All is really easy and can be really repetitive at times, but it’s lovely to look at and listen to. The fact it’s so easy makes each combat section even funnier, all thanks to some of the best animations I’ve seen in a game in a while.

ZTGDTerrence JohnsonDec 20215/10Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All ends up being a game full of wonderfully hand-drawn visuals and extremely repetitive combat. It makes it hard to really recommend this game to anyone other than those that are fans of the duo. While yes, some young kids may enjoy the overly simplistic nature of the game; anyone who is an older gamer will become quickly bored with the easy combat, and lack of new moves or attacks.

Daily MirrorEugene SowahDec 20213/5 starsIt's a stunning homage to the original comics that will excite fans whilst being a great way to introduce newcomers to the series. The game is lacking some much-needed depth, and even though it's a good length, there are still many missing features that are synonymous with the beat 'em up genre.
