COGconnectedLillian KingMay 202280/100At first, Lila’s Sky Ark made me think I was getting sick of indies in this style in general, not just platformers. But the more I played it, I realized its weak opening was hiding a real gem. Once you dig into it, Lila’s Sky Ark is full of interesting characters, sweet story beats, and engaging gameplay.

LadiesGamers.comKristin Emanuel Apr 2022Lila’s Sky Ark has many qualities of a masterpiece; the music is beautiful; the visuals are delightful, but it fumbles with its writing. If Lila’s Sky Ark is a poem, then it’s not a cohesive one. I still don’t know how I feel about Lila or her story; however, I had fun while playing it, and I know I will be listening to the soundtrack for many months. This game is undoubtedly a labor of love. If you want to get lost in a colorful pixel dreamscape, then you’ll feel right at home with Lila on the Rainbow Ark.

GameGrinApr 20224/10Lila's Sky Ark has an enjoyable gameplay, but it's about the only good aspect of the game, as the vague story didn't entice me to advance any further.

Cubed3Lina EliasApr 20255/10Graphically impressive and different from the norm, Lila's Sky Ark is a charming title to look at. The music balances with the presentation splendidly. When it comes to game mechanics, however, there tends to be a lot lacking. With only the ability to hurl stonework and other quirky items, major boss fights almost feel silly. The main story remains a mystery if not actively exploring and may cause some players to feel lost or question the purpose of gameplay. This may be a benefit for those seeking a more thought-provoking game, yet it takes too much time to get there.
