Rate five things you know, from any shelf. Your archetype shows up in about a minute, and gets sharper with every log.

Join the ongoing adventures of developers at the “world’s worst video game studio”, Shovelworks Studios, as they endure antics both absurd and topical. Part animated show, part game, 3 out of 10 is the first playable sitcom. We’re 99% sure that’s true. You can tell us if we’re wrong.

Hardcore GamerJames CunninghamSep 20204/53 Out of 10 came as a nice surprise, released for free and dropping a new episode every week for its first five-week season.
Use a PotionMar 20219/10With its charming and well-written tale, creative mix of mini-games, and vibrant world, 3 Out of 10: Season One really makes for an episodic delight. I genuinely enjoyed seeing the tale unfold between episodes, whilst the mini-games add plenty of fun moments of interactivity to remind you that you are actually playing a video game. The short length and the long loading times were a bit of a shame, but they don’t stop 3 Out of 10: Season One from being a must-play (and watch) narrative-driven escapade.

COGconnectedRhett WaselenchukMar 202175/100I’ll be front row with my bucket of popcorn for 3 out of 10: Season Two. The art style is fun, the writing is on-point, and the game itself runs almost perfectly on the Switch. The first season of 3 Out of 10 isn’t something you’ll get hours upon hours out of. But you wouldn’t want to overstay your welcome in this world anyways. And that’s the magic of what the developers accomplished here. Terrible Posture Games knew precisely what they were doing in making a terrible game about developing a terrible game. Bravo.

CompletexboxDan BoiseApr 202150/100If you’re looking for a definitely unique experience with a bevy of gameplay variety, 3 Out Of 10 Season One is your game. The five episodes feature a lot of different gameplay from various genres; most of them actually enjoyable; albeit not perfectly executed. However, if you’re looking for a sitcom game, this ain’t chief. You’re best to boot up a streaming service and hunt down proper sitcoms as there aren’t much laughs to be found here.

VGChartzLee MehrMar 20216/103 out of 10 surmounts the low bar set by its self-aware title, but this first season may prove too uneven for some ardent adventure fans.
