God is a GeekMick FraserDec 20249/10Warhammer 40K: Darktide on PS5 is superb action game filled with brutal violence and all the tongue-in-cheek dry British humour you expect from the universe.

GamingBoltJoelle DanielsDec 20249/10The PS5 release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide essentially acts as a celebration of the game reaching its current state of being one of the best co-op shooters out there.

Niche GamerBrandon LyttleJan 20239/10If you love FPS games but aren’t into PvP deathmatch style games like Halo, or you just miss the gameplay of Left 4 Dead (and Back 4 Blood wasn’t your thing), then Darktide should be right up your alley. After dozens of hours of gameplay you’ll only just be getting to the end game and the most hardcore of missions.

TheGamerBen SledgeDec 20223/5 starsDarktide is built on great foundations and I enjoy playing it a lot – especially with friends. There’s a brilliant game buried deep within this Hive World, filled with exciting combat and gruesome enemies in equal measure. However, to properly enjoy those glorious moments, you have to break through the pustular skin of Darktide’s pointless upgrade systems and wade through the poisoned viscera of dull progression. I just hope that the countless obstructions in the live service elements don’t turn too many players away from the game mired underneath.

MonsterVineDiego EscalaJan 20232.5/5Warhammer 40k: Darktide is hard to recommend, even a month after release. There’s a good game here, but it’s burdened by issues I’m sure will be fixed after a few major updates; the only question is whether or not you’re willing to deal with it until then.
