Daily MirrorOverall, it's a great game for the budget price tag that scratches a tactical shooter itch if you've played XCOM 100 times over and fancy something new.

KritiqalNate KiernanMar 2020Corruption 2029 feels like a straight to VHS sequel. Zoomed out it looks like what you’d expect the studio to do next, albeit with a different theme and fewer talking ducks. But there is no soul, no justification for the game’s existence, and numerous moments where it feels actively inferior to a game that came out two years ago.

PC InvasionFeb 20205/10Corruption 2029 might be set in a bleak future, but the only thing that looks bleak is the hope for something that's an improvement over Mutant Year Zero. Bland characters, a lack of map environments and weaponry, a streamlined approach to the campaign, and a barebones story that doesn't feel connected to previous offerings all combine to make Corruption 2029 a surprising release indeed. It's a surprise, to be sure, and not a welcome one at that.
