Hardcore GamerMarcus EstradaFeb 20204/5There's so much to love about Bokuten – Why I Became an Angel that makes the multi-year wait worth it.

NookGamingThomas KnightDec 20199/10I would personally recommend Bokuten - Why I Became an Angel, again with the caveat that the reader knows what they are getting themselves into. This is a very sad, emotional experience with some highly disturbing scenes and topics. It is also a very well written visual novel with a great story that I would highly recommend to someone who wants to experience something out of the ordinary.

cublikefootClaire FerrinFeb 20207.5/10It may have some issues regarding a couple of its character routes and true ending, but Bokuten is a solid visual novel all things considered. The protagonist is great, the choices actually have an impact, the translation is good, the art is fine, and the common route pretty much carries the entire experience on top of that.
