Nintendo LifePJ O'ReillyAug 20259/10Roadwarden is a fascinating text-based RPG that delivers top-notch writing, meaningful and impactful choices, and way more interactivity than you may be expecting from a game of this type. Managing your time, health, armour, and more as you explore and map out a dangerous peninsula gives you plenty to consider as you pick and choose the narrative threads and situations that concern you most.Almost impossible to put down, and definitely something I'll play more than once, this is a genre highlight on Switch that's only slightly let down by a bit of clunkiness on the UI front.

Games FreezerBritt RobertsMar 20265.5/10I really hope that Roadwarden on other platforms doesn’t have the issues that plague these Switch ports, and if they don’t – this is a cracking game that I would highly recommend. As it stands through, I have to review my experience, and Roadwarden on the Switch or Switch 2 is a janky mess, sadly.

Noisy PixelIvanir IgnacchittiSep 20256/10Roadwarden is an impressive text adventure RPG, but the Switch version is severely lacking when it comes to technical conditions. It's a shame as this should be one of the best of its kind on the platform, but it's just impossible to recommend it compared to the PC release.
