Rapid Reviews UKSeb HawdenMar 20234.5/5 starsRoguelike, you say? Card battler? Deck-builder? In the vein of Slay the Spire? Well, why didn’t you say so? I adore Slay the Spire and adore roguelikes, so surely Pirates Outlaws (which I think is a weird name) will be a surefire hit. Load your pistol, grab a parrot, and let’s sail the high seas! AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHH!

Pure NintendoDavid TempleMay 20238/10The price may be a bit high for a cartoonish card game, but Pirates Outlaws is fun and light-hearted. Better, it has good playability and re-playability with its numerous locations and different heroes to engage in epic battles.

Video ChumsAlex LegardApr 20237/10Pirates Outlaws is pretty fun once you start unlocking things and there's a lot of stuff to do in the form of quests, feats, earning repute, trying out characters, and beating the alternate game modes. There's enough content to keep swashbucklers invested for dozens of hours but for me, the core gameplay just isn't fun enough to keep me entertained.
