Luis AlamillaLuis AlamillaApr 20218.5/10Emily is Away 3 is a fantastic story-driven game that fleshes out its writing and branching paths while keeping true to the nostalgic lens that made the series so popular. By the end of my playthrough, I felt sad but happy by the ending I got. I felt right by the choices I made and even though it didn't end perfectly, I had known that life and relationships aren't always like that and it's that sense of maturity in writing that I think caught my eye. I'm sure I'll go back and play a different path in the future, but for now, this is a game and playthrough I want to just be lost in my feelings with.

TechRaptorPeter GlagowskiApr 20217/10There are areas where things can improve in the future and I do feel the story is maybe not as malleable as it could have been, but that doesn’t ruin what is another solid and emotional story of teenage love and angst set to the backdrop of early internet communication. If you have any memories of this era, you’re bound to find something to appreciate about Emily is Away <3. Just beware that you may end up smashing your head against the wall as you relive some of the stupid mistakes you made in your youth.
