GBAtempStephen MaloneDec 20198.5/10Tamashii can be completed in one short sitting, but between its nightmarish art, dark themes and clever puzzle-platformer gameplay, it'll stick with you for a long time.

Pure NintendoSteven GreenDec 20196.5/10Tamashii is one of the most disturbing experiences I have ever had. With intense horror and gore-laden imagery, this is a title that will stay with me for a while. Even with all the positives with the setting and art style, at the end of the day, this game is a poor platformer, with pretty solid puzzles to work through.

Cubed3Albert LichiApr 20204/10Take away all the disturbing and horrific imagery, and Tamashii becomes a run-of-the-mill, trial-by-error indie platformer. It will test one's patience and frustrate to no end, thanks to its design and structure. It is much too rigid to allow anyone to get immersed in, and the tedium of having to memorize a new level only fills the soul with regret. The horror flourishes are what save this otherwise subpar title.
