COGconnectedJake HillOct 202180/100The thing is, there’s not a lot of games in the style of King of Dragon Pass. There’s not a lot of games like Vagrus period. Even in the world of indie RPGs, it’s rare to encounter writing so rich, or such an original world. Vagrus is exactly what I hope to get from my indie games, ideas so original that I can’t quite articulate what they could have done better. With immersive music, stylish art, creative combat, and a sometimes baffling interface, Vagrus: The Riven Realms is what you’re looking for if you are tired of versions of the same game, over and over again.

TechRaptorRobert GrossoOct 20218/10My own impressions on Vagrus - The Riven Realms changed constantly, but ultimately, Vagrus does carve itself a comfortable middle ground that showcases a well thought out, if difficult, experience.

Turn Based LoversDamiano GerliJan 20228.5/10Vagrus carves its own path in the crowded genre of open-world RPGs. Extremely difficult, but rewarding in its own right with a unique mix of strategy, management and turn-based combat. This is the one for those seekers of the unique, who can overcome some of its shortcomings and enjoy the great work done by the developers.
