Algo en la casa
Directed by Carla Pereira · 12 min
A couple and their young daughter live in apparent harmony. But as the girl enters adolescence, she begins to display increasingly uncontrollable and violent behavior, even going so far as to smash furniture in the house or slap her mother. Her parents strive to cope with the situation, remaining united. The short film portrays the contrast between the public and private behavior of the father and his daughter. While the father presents an impeccable, upright, and irreproachable public facade, his daughter, by contrast, reveals a detestable and abhorrent public side. Finally, the arrival of a new family member opens a crack in the household structure, unleashing a chain reaction of irreversible consequences that will alter the nature of their bonds in a profoundly unsettling way.
