A beautiful humorous book about law and sometimes the absurdity thereof. AP Herbert designs ridiculous cases such as is there a thing such as a reasonable woman (the reasonable man test for negligence) and is this country really free (fun is not described in law and as such the law takes a dim view of it) and then follows this case through an ostensible normal law report or court minutes to a hilarious conclusion.
